GIS Development and Geophysical Archaeology
ARL and the Department of Anthropology have teamed up to provide near surface geophysical prospection and GIS Development services. Drs. Gerald Schroedl and Nicholas Herrmann coordinate the research in these areas. A full time staff at ARL is available to address questions and assist in the development and implementation of resource surveys, cultural resource databases and near surface geophysical surveys.

  • Submeter GPS Units (Trimble Pro XRS, GeoXT, and GeoXH units)

Geophysical Equipment:

  • GeoScan FM36 Fluxgate Gradiometer
  • GeoScan RM15 Soil Resistivity Meter with multiplexer
  • GSSI SIR-3000 ground penetrating radar (GPR) unit, 400 and 900 mhz antennae
